Building an RC10, general notes and hardware (useful reference)

General Build Notes:

FRONT END Suspension and Steering

nose piece 6310 (6309 black)
6281 8-32" x 7/8" screws from chassis, thru nosepiece to support bellcranks, also use #8 3323 thick washer (2 if needed) on topside
and 6931 8-32 x 1/41/4" screw to secure nosepeice to chassis

6280 8-32" x 1/2" screw for bodymount (plus 2 #8 or #10 aluminum washers)

6207 suspension mount each side uses 3X 6280

stock arms (6205) (6206 wide arms for CE/Team) use 6226 inner pin w 6299 e-clips

block carrier (6213 15 degree) gets 6273 ball ends and 6227 pin to secure to arm, w 6299 e-clips

6216 fr steering block (6217 for Team car and CE), 6219 fr axle (6218 for CE and Team)
6295 4/40 plain hex nut to secure 6270 ball end, 6223 (use vertically) kingpin w 6299 e-clips

6230 (6231 wider for CE and Team) shock tower, 6270 ball ends each side w 6295 4-40 nuts
6925 4-40 x 1/2" cap[ head to secure shock tower to suspension mounts

(can also install here 6927 4-40 X 3/4" allen heads to mount fr shocks upcoming)

6235 (6259/6260 for Team and CE) threaded 4-40 x 1 3/4" rods, with 6274 (6374 for Team, CE) plastic ball rod ends (make length 1.475" for classic, 2.05 for Team, CE))

qty 4 6270 ball ends for stock servo saver (6255)

4185(?) nylon nuts to secure bellcranks on top of the 6281 screws

6257, 6258, (6263 turnbuckle) threaded rods 2X are 2.025" (pair) and center link 6260 is 1.5"

6323 bulkhead w 6327 wing tubes, secure bulkhead with 4-40 allen screws on side and 6280 (8/32" x 1/2") screws from bottom
2 LONG 6273 ball ends upper inner holes of bulhead

XXXX is Socket Head Cap Screw 4-40 x 1/2
#4 aluminum washer

REAR END Suspension

Shocks, exploded View

6360 rr suspension mounts L and R, 6355 rr arms, 6380 inner hinge pin 6299 e clips

6374 rr stub axle, into 6365 (6366 Team and CE) hub carrier using 1 cone washer and 1 flat axle (6388 cone washer only w 6387 bushings) bearings would be part 897, 6375 roll pin

6373 rear axle spacers

6273 Ball end w 6295 plain nut in the hub carrier

Team Car uses 6371 universals plus spacers as needed and 6375 roll pin

6375 slotted pin

6381 outer hinge pin w 6299 e clips

6385 threaded rods (X2) 1.6" (Team Car and CE 2.06 length (2 1/16th on 6262 threaded rods) 6274 ball ends onto 6273 ball joints

6372 spring and 6370 dogbone

6224 fr shock pin w set screw or 6930 threaded pin

shock bottom; flat part of special metal ball end 6471 againts arm, then shock, then washer secured by allen screw into arm,

for team, CE version for FRONT shocks use the 3/4" screws where only 1/4 is threaded to mount lower shock thru shock balls

motor

655 metric motor screws w 6936 washer
electrics
servo (uses small allen head round head screws to attach to 6336 servo mount, and same? for attaching mounts to chassis (use 2 washers on rear servo mount for better alignment)

6256 linkage 1/16 piano wire) and 1/8 set screw collars w 4-40 x 1/8 set screw

6334 battery cup, 6924 cap head, 6929 cap head w hole

wheels 3 allen screws, 6863 wheel bushings (or bearings), 6296 lock nut or 6191 spinner

6902 fr bearings for 6852 fr wheels 6872 fr tires, 6822 rr tires

(front axles are 3/16 x 3/8 and rear are 1/4 x 3/8)

6390 butterfly nut to secure rr wheel onto axle
