Magnet car prototype...

"This was the first test bed chassis and was powered by a Mabuchi ST 02, which we super glued to the chassis for expediency. It started with a single Alnico bar-magnet at the rear and progressed to two magnets, another being added in front of the motor. It was set up to easily allow altering the ground clearance by changing the wheel and tire OD's. Note that part of the Mylar insulating tape (to prevent shorting to the rails) is still in place."
